Le grand-p\u00e8re du b\u00e9b\u00e9 s&rsquo;interroge : l&rsquo;enfant deviendra-t-il un g\u00e9nie ou un imb\u00e9cile ? Les ann\u00e9es passent. La guerre d\u00e9chire l&rsquo;Europe. Le grand-p\u00e8re est mourant et les enfants en profitent pour d\u00e9rober quelques pi\u00e8ces dans la poche du m\u00e9decin. Plus tard, Carlo, \u00e9tudiant, rencontre deux s\u0153urs, s&rsquo;\u00e9prend de l&rsquo;a\u00een\u00e9e, Adriana, mais \u00e9pouse la cadette, B\u00e9atrice. Longtemps, il restera tiraill\u00e9 entre son attachement pour sa femme, simple et charmante, et sa fascination pour sa belle-s\u0153ur, une brillante pianiste\u2026<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Ettore Scola raconte comment l&rsquo;id\u00e9e du film a germ\u00e9. Dans son enfance, \u00ab\u00a0la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision n\u2019existait pas. (La voix de son p\u00e8re) ne provoquait pas le vide existant aujourd\u2019hui dans les appartements o\u00f9 l\u2019on ne se parle pas. (&#8230;) Je crois que, chez tous les hommes, il y a les m\u00eames pens\u00e9es, les m\u00eames chagrins, les m\u00eames tendresses. Ainsi, dans L\u2019Unita, un d\u00e9put\u00e9 a \u00e9crit : \u00ab Je suis tout \u00e0 fait \u00e9loign\u00e9 de cette famille bourgeoise. Mon p\u00e8re \u00e9tait plombier. Je l\u2019ai parfois suivi dans son travail et j\u2019ai pu entrer comme cela dans une de ces maisons. Eh bien, je dois dire que La Famille de Scola est aussi ma famille. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On trouve des allusions, des discours historiques mais c\u2019est le grand appartement, la maison familiale en somme, qui repr\u00e9sente le changement.
