Ces \u00e9meutes sont cons\u00e9cutives \u00e0 la grave blessure d&rsquo;Abdel Ichaha, un habitant, par un inspecteur de police. Les protagonistes, Vinz (<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vincent_Cassel\">Vincent Cassel<\/a>), Sa\u00efd (<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sa%C3%AFd_Taghmaoui\">Sa\u00efd Taghmaoui<\/a>) et Hubert (<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hubert_Kound%C3%A9\">Hubert Kound\u00e9<\/a>), sont un trio multiethnique originaire de la cit\u00e9, se promenant d&rsquo;abord dans celle-ci puis partant \u00e0 Paris pour la soir\u00e9e. Le film suit leurs p\u00e9rip\u00e9ties d&rsquo;un matin au suivant.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>Les trois jeunes amis d&rsquo;Abdel\u00a0ont une personnalit\u00e9 bien distincte : Vinz, jeune juif, au temp\u00e9rament agressif, qui souhaite venger Abdel\u00a0; Hubert, jeune homme noir pacifiste qui ne pense qu&rsquo;\u00e0 quitter la cit\u00e9 pour une vie meilleure et se refuse \u00e0 provoquer la police, et Sa\u00efd, jeune d&rsquo;origine maghr\u00e9bine, qui tient un r\u00f4le de m\u00e9diateur entre Vinz et Hubert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vinz r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e0 ses compagnons qu&rsquo;il a trouv\u00e9 le revolver perdu par le policier. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Smith_%26_Wesson_629_Horton\">Smith &amp; Wesson 44 Magnum<\/a> dont il compte faire usage pour tuer un policier si Abdel ne sort pas du coma. Hubert exprime sa d\u00e9sapprobation. La cit\u00e9 est choisie pour son calme relatif, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mathieu_Kassovitz\">Kassovitz<\/a> refusant une cit\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0infernale, avec de la came, o\u00f9 tu ne peux pas filmer, parce que des mecs te tirent dessus\u00a0\u00bb. Ses infrastructures sont elles aussi en meilleur \u00e9tat que beaucoup d&rsquo;autres cit\u00e9s dans lequel le film aurait pu \u00eatre tourn\u00e9.
