Peine perdue, ils regagnent leur base, un camp militaire fortifi\u00e9. Dans ce camp qui est en fait un silo \u00e0 missile datant de la guerre froide, la tension est forte entre les deux factions pr\u00e9sentes, les militaires et les scientifiques. Les militaires sont partisans de l&rsquo;\u00e9radication pure et dure des zombies \u2014&nbsp;les scientifiques recherchent un moyen d&rsquo;\u00e9radiquer la contamination.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>De plus, un mort-vivant diff\u00e9rent, car exprimant des \u00e9motions humaines, est domestiqu\u00e9 par un des savants. La tension monte \u00e0 son comble lors d&rsquo;un raid de capture de morts-vivants, lorsque le groupe de soldats se fait en partie d\u00e9cimer. Il est int\u00e9ressant que, en pleine \u00e9poque de la guerre froide, Romero ne donne la pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 aucune des deux factions en pr\u00e9sence. Les id\u00e9es et points de vue des deux camps sont aussi bonnes (et mauvaises) l\u2019une que l\u2019autre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le responsable des effets sp\u00e9ciaux, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tom_Savini\">Tom Savini<\/a>, a obtenu un <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saturn_Award\">Saturn Award<\/a> pour ses effets sur ce film.
